The Respro Bandit Anti-Pollution Scarf is excellent for fighting forest fires because it filters particulates. It also provides protection from the sandblasting effect that dust carried on the wind has on the face. The Respro Bandit incorporates a Dynamic ACC filter material which was originally developed for protection against chemical and bacteriological warfare attack. The filter material is strategically placed around the breathing area and is laminated within the specilly designed cotton scarf. It is fully washable and has been made to last for at least six months when being used on a daily basis. It includes a nose clip to seal the scarf around the face and a bootlace to seal underneath the chin. The Bandit offers protection from petrol fumes, diesel fumes, low level ozone, acid gases, lead oxide and irritant dusts. It does not provide heat or flame protection or complete respiratory protection from all gases or particulates. Currently available only in red and black - as shown above.
